I’ve been waiting for the Brass Tap Fort Lauderdale to open for quite some time now. Yes I love beer and have had almost every beer that has been distributed into Florida, but what I’m really excited about is its walking distance from my office – SPOILED. Also, I’ve been waiting for a clean, well thought out beer bar with food other than the standard munchies or food trucks you find at most. It’s been known that some of the other Brass Tap’s suffer on the food side. I haven’t ordered anything yet, but I have heard they brought in a chef specifically to correct the food issue. I’m eyeing the hoisin BBQ salmon. Also, another reason why I have been stoked about the Brass Tap Fort Lauderdale is I knew they would have the 1 or 2 beers that would be a go to for me when other craft beer bars fail to have the inventory a beer snob could enjoy. But I’m sure you will not have that problem since they have 70 drafts. “Danielle, can I have another Hop 4 Teacher please” – J.Wakefield Brewery out of Wynwood, Miami
THE SPACE
Talk about space , this place is massive, 4500 SQ FT, 2 level, and outside bar with tables. Shouldn’t have any issue finding a room to knock a few back and enjoy the Chicken and Waffles. I’m hiding upstairs in the back surrounded by 6 large flat screens while I crank out some work. I love the fact they put 4 u-shaped sofas among the beautiful wood high top tables.
On the second floor they are showcasing their micro-brewery which is encased in almost floor to ceiling glass panels and looks super cool from the ground level. The shiny chrome 2- barrel brewery system cranks out about 8 full kegs a week I really can’t wait to try some of their home brew. Nothing like having a one of a kind beer. Also, there is about 10 self-serve exclusive beers on the wall which can only be accessed if you are a part of their “Brew Crew.” Yes, I bought in, captive audience here.
Stop by, you can enjoy over 300 craft beers from around the world with a comfy atmosphere but still upscale. Even better if you have a beer question its seems like everyone is knowledgeable about the beer and food, Ashley was able to give me full explanation of the specials on the menu without a second to pass. If you come by yourself or with a larger party I’m sure you will enjoy yourself catching the game or reminiscing on good times. If you need to grab a stogie, their open air patio is very relaxing and you can watch the passerby’s
