Miami eat your heart out! Ok well not really, but this emerging section of Fort Lauderdake called @fatvillage which is an arts district will be the next emerging neighborhood! @hines is doing it right by taking on this project. Can’t wait! Did I mention we have a few spaces retail spaces left at Motiff across from this 5.5 acre site?
The whole 5.49-acre development assemblage for FAT Village (Flagler. Arts. Technology), a vast 835,000-square-foot mixed-use project envisioned for the bustling Flagler Village north of Downtown Fort Lauderdale, has been purchased by Houston-based developer Hines. Alan Hoopers’ Urban Street Development and Tim Petrillo’s Restaurant People originally compiled and pitched the sites, which Hines purchased for $57.41 million. SB Architects and EDSA, Inc. are leading the design of what is expected to be the district’s largest real estate project, with 500 residential units, 350,000 square feet of office space, and 71,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.
